Update 2

Things should be slowing down here in the next couple days, so we should definitely be back on our regular schedule next week. We have several interesting films to catch up with, so please be sure to stay tuned. Again, our apologies for the extended delay!

Update

Apologies for the extended delay. Due to an insanely ridiculous work schedule (Zack’s) the last couple weeks, we have literally had no time to record. We should hopefully be back to our normal schedule shortly. Thanks for your patience!

Delayed

This week’s scheduled episode will be delayed by a few days. We will post Episode #16 on Monday, the 23rd. Due to scheduling conflicts, we have not been able to record this week. Sorry for the delay - but be sure to check back Monday for our review of A Prairie Home Companion and then again on Wednesday for our reviews of Flags of our Fathers and the 3D re-release of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Episode #15: The Departed

This week, we review the latest offering from acclaimed director Martin Scorsese, The Departed. The film is one of deception and intrigue as we follow the exploits of both a mob mole in the Boston State Police and an undercover police officer who has infiltrated the city’s organized criminal underground. Featuring an all-star cast comprised of Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio, Alec Baldwin, Martin Sheen and Mark Wahlberg, The Departed was garnering Oscar buzz long before its release. Does the film earn the critical acclaim it is receiving? Download Episode 15 now to hear our thoughts!

Episode #14: The Guardian

This week, we take a look at The Guardian, starring Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher. This film has been called everything from “Top Gun at Sea” and has been derided by critics. While it may not break any new ground or win any awards, sometimes you just want an escapist action flick. Stephen also offers his thoughts on Open Season. Download Episode 14 now.
